Darwin Weyr is looking for Candidates, Dragonriders, Wherhandlers, and assorted others.
Up for adoption we have 2 Junior Gold dragons among many others.
Full list here: s1.zetaboards.com/Darwin_Weyr/topic/2717693/1/
There’s a hatching imminent and a few other plots soon to be afoot.
The History
Six Turns ago, at the beginning of an Interval, four Junior Weyrwomen, various male riders, and a number of Holders and crafters set out to colonise the recently discovered ‘Western Island’ (it turned out to be a continent) and build a new Weyr there, to relieve some of the overcrowding in the Northern Weyrs.
The Weyrfolk were shocked to discover a new species of dragon inhabiting the Western continent. The Native dragons were (and are) intelligent creatures capable of discussing the situation and agreeing to live in harmony with humans – it helped that Native dragons mostly lived in places uninhabitable for humans.
Over the next six Turns several mixed clutches were hatched and some of the Native dragons bonded with humans though most chose to remain unbonded as their wild parents did.
In the present:
The last of the Golds who settled the Weyr has had her first clutch since colonisation.
The Senior Gold, despite not being very old relatively speaking, has not had any clutches since the first Turn of colonisation but since this is an Interval no one is concerned by this (yet).
Apart from the shocking Impression of two male Native dragons to female candidates, and the unexpected discovery of new dragons, life has been as it is in a traditional Weyr.
No one suspects that everything is about to change…
